Happy 150th anniversary to @goldengatepark! This piece was selected to be part of the From Sand Dunes to Forest: Canopy Trees of Golden Gate Park art exhibit this summer. The exhibit has been transformed into an online show, which is dedicated to the beauty and splendor of the park.

The photo (I didn’t include all the incredible trees!) that inspired this piece was shot at my first Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in 2010. There were so many amazing musicians, including the late, great Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Elvis Costello, Conor Oberst, and Patti Smith. The following year, my favorite performance was by Broken Social Scene. One day, I hope to attend this special event again!
